Require Regular User Updates

The "regular updates" feature allows you to require that users update specific fields on their account at a regular interval established by you in the options. When the user logs in and his/her last update was farther in the past than the timeframe you select, the "Account Update Required" template will be displayed to the user with the fields you select below.

System Settings

Activating The System

From the admin control panel:

  • Click on "Settings"
  • Select "Login Options"
  • Set the Require User Updates? setting to "Yes".
  • Save the Changes.

Selecting the Fields

From the admin control panel:

  • Click on "Settings"
  • Select "Login Options"
  • Select the fields that you wish to allow users to update using the Forced-Update Fields option. The first checkbox will include the field in the update, while the second checkbox controls whether it is required or not.
  • Save the Changes.

Setting the Timeframe

From the admin control panel:

  • Click on "Settings"
  • Select "Login Options"
  • Within the Require User Update Timeframe option, input the regular interval at which users will have to update the field selected above. Click here for information on how timeframes work.
  • Save the Changes.

Forcing a User to Update

You can force a user to update his/her account outside of the regular intervals from the user management screen.
