Employee Permissions

Permission Types

Basic System

The basic permissions system allows you to select from the following options:

  • Administrator (overrides all other permission selections)
  • Add
  • Edit
  • Delete
  • View

Setting a user as an "Administrator" gives them permission to do anything throughout the admin control panel. If this checkbox is not selected, the user will only have permission to perform "Add", "Edit", "Delete", and "View" tasks.

Note that this is a very generic permissions system. For more control, use the "Advanced System".

Advanced System

The "Advanced Permission System" allows you to drill down exactly which features an employee will be able to use. In other words, using this system, you will have to grant each employee permission to use each individual feature in the program.

Selecting a Permission System

If you change the permission system that you are using after you have already added employees, you will need to edit each employee's permissions or they will not be able to do anything on the admin control panel!

To select a permission system, log into your primary administrative account (the one you setup during installation of the program), and do the following:

  1. Click on "Manage Employees" from the topbar.
  2. For your primary admin account, click on "Options » Edit"
  3. Scroll down to the section named "Which Permission System Should Be Used?" and select your desired system using the Permission Type setting.
  4. Save the changes.

Editing an Employee's Permissions

To edit an employee's permissions, log into your primary administrator's account and do the following:

  1. Click on "Manage Employees" from the topbar.
  2. For the employee you wish to edit, click on "Options » Permissions"
  3. Select the permission you wish to grant this employee.
  4. Save the changes.
